Community Design Lab

At the Community Design Lab at Iowa State University, I collaborated with designers to support communities across Iowa in creating master plans for a more resilient social, economic, and environmental future. Our work involved meeting with local stakeholders, attending city council meetings, and collecting data from small towns throughout the state. We also initiated the development of a user-friendly decision-making toolkit to help communities of all sizes and experience levels navigate the master planning process.

I worked under the supervision of Carl Rogers and Nadia Anderson, who were great mentors and teachers. I learned a lot about community engagement, design, and outreach.
